He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Hamilton and Mary Lou Hamilton (Barnes); his son Irvin Kishon Hamilton, Jr.; his siblings, Mary McNeal, Sam Hamilton, Jr. (Mary) and Willie Lee Hamilton (Patrice); his brother-in-law Douglas Jones; his mother-in-law Sarah McClean; and his sister-in-law Beatrice "Doll" Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Hamilton (McClean); and his sisters, Elease Jones and Susie Cole (Stephen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
