She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Allen and Dorothy Allen of New Gretna; her husband Robert; her brother Woodrow (Bonnie); and her great grandchild Wesley.
She is survived by: her sons, David (Carrie) of Delaware and Robert of New Jersey; her sisters, Marjorie (Robert) and Eleanor (late James); her grandchildren, James (Katherine), Jenna (Nathan), Danielle (Henry), Robert (Jessica), Alexis (Steve) and Samantha; and her friend Gwen Mickens-Dolan. She is also survived by several brothers- and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home (275 E Main St, Middletown, DE 19709). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Janet's memory to Elsmere Presbyterian Church, 606 New Road, Wilmington, DE 19805.
