She was predeceased by: her parent Author; her husband Melvin Henry; and her brothers, Carlton Black, Leroy Black and Winston Black.
She is survived by: her siblings, Yvonne M. Black and Harley C. Black; her nieces, Janet, Paulah, Marsha and Stacey; her nephew Robert H. Black; and her goddaughter Joiselle Cunningham. She is also survived by grand-nieces and nephews, close cousins and many very good friends.
