We are sad to announce that on September 17, 2025, at the age of 97, Louise Powell Atwell (Middletown, Delaware) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Powell and Mary Fillingame Powell; her husband Lew; her son David Atwell; and her brothers, Clarke and Charles Powell.
She is survived by: her daughter Lyn Frazier (James Frazier); her grandchildren, Jimmy Frazier, Laurie Evans, Nicole Frazier, Nate Atwell, Olney Atwell and Tegan Atwell; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor Evans, Madison and Nathan Frazier; her sister Elizabeth Balbani; her sisters-in-law, Patty and Lena Powell; and her caregiver Karla.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home (212 N Broad St, Middletown, DE 19709). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
