He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Bell and Mary Bowman, Sr. (Shetzler); his wife Diamelen Sue Bowman (Bolyard); his siblings, Earl Jr., Brenda, Cathy and Patti; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Jr. and Phillip Bolyard.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Maycee and Hunter; his sons, Michael H. Bowman Jr. (Katie) and Brad Bowman; his brother Kevin Bowman (Peggy); and his brothers-in-law, Donald Bolyard Sr. (Sandy) and Tony Smith. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
