We are sad to announce that on July 21, 2025, at the age of 71, Rene Patton-Cox (Middletown, Delaware), born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosie-Mae Patton, and Henry Ellis Patton, Sr.; her brothers, R. L. Hall "Sonnyboy", Henry Ellis Patton Jr. and Johnny Earl Patton; and her godparents, Willie James McCray and Mable Ware Melton.
She is survived by: her husband Michael K. Cox; her sister Juanita Patton-Garrett (Alvin Garrett); her siblings' children, Robert Hall Sr. (Marcia Hall), Victor Patton (Ranjini Patton), Derrick Patton, Daniel Patton (Maria Patton), Nigel Patton, Shanel Corrine Patterson, Delilah Rosalie Patton, Rene Kirnon (Antoine Kirnon), Ashley Aja Rose Taylor (Devonne Taylor) and Nasya Patton; her in-laws, Trina Garrett (Andrew), Dr. Dantie Brown (Larry), Jessica Monde and Demetria Porter; her godmother Willie Ruth McCray; and her sisters, Julia Anderson and Geraldine Smith (Irvin Smith). She is also survived by great nieces and nephews, relatives and dear friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home (212 N Broad St, Middletown, DE 19709).
