He was predeceased by: his parents, Dudley Gayle and Hermine Gayle (Edgehill); and his sister Rose Seabrooks. He is survived by: his wife Opal D. Gayle (Linton); his daughter Kimberly Gayle (Carlton); his grandson Blake Williams; his brother Carl Gayle (Pat); and his brothers-in-law, Trevor Linton (Jackie), Earl Linton and Derek Linton (Jennifer). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home (275 E Main St, Middletown, DE 19709). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
