He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Laphan, and Thomas Laphan, Sr.; his daughter Tammy Palfrey; and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Christine; his son Thomas D. Laphan, III; his stepsons, Christopher Shakespeare, David Shakespeare (Lisa) and Aaron Shakespeare (Becca); his son-in-law Fred Palfrey; and his sister Cathy Rodden (Jimmy). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
