With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Dennis Schafer of Milford, Delaware, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel T. R. Schafer and Sophia Heizelman (Schelske); his brother Arlo D. Schafer; and his stepsiblings, Jerry Heizelman, Vida Petersen, Bernice Faul and Verla Faul.
He is survived by: his stepfather William Heizelman; his wife Georgeanne Schafer (Ford); his children, Darla Schafer and Darren Schafer (Julie); his grandchildren, Brenna K. Schafer (Bryan), Kaitlyn A. Schafer (Anthony) and Reid W. Schafer (Nola); and his siblings, Leo W. Schafer (Geraldine) and Jennell Heizelman (Marvin). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to either the AMC Museum Foundation, PO Box 2024, Dover AFB, DE 19902-9998 or to a charity of your choice.
