Joseph leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Joseph’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Joseph will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Capo and Phylis Capo. He is survived by: his close friend Mary Lou Randolph; his children, Joseph Capo Jr. and Stacey Miano; and his stepdaughter Elaina Evans. He is also survived by several grandchildren and numerous cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial (234 W Washington Ave, Washington, NJ 07882). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Northern New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery (75 N Church Rd, Sparta, NJ 07871).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Tunnel to Towers or Wounded Warriers in Joseph's memory.
