He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Spurlock (Shafer); his sons, William Spurlock (Jennifer) and Brian Spurlock (Trisha); his grandchildren, Brooke Campbell (Dylan), Alyssa Spurlock, Nicholas Spurlock, Matthew Spurlock, Andrew Spurlock and Jacob Spurlock; and his sister Mary Ann Hatfield (Spurlock). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
