She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Savage and Stella Bailey. She is survived by: her daughter Vanessa Whaley; her grandchildren, Quinterra Whaley-Power (Dekonti), Martisha Whaley, Jeronti Whaley and Dakivis Whaley; and her siblings, Regina Anderson Chisum, Joesph Poole and Daisy Poole. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.
