He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Jackson, Jr. and Minnie Clemmons Jackson; his siblings, Charley Jackson and Annie Anthony; his sister-in-law Linda Jackson; and his granddaughters, Nova and Neveah Robinson.

He is survived by: his wife Claretta Jackson; his children, Charles Shelton (Barbara), Jermaine Conquest (Jacqueline), Prezannie Conquest (Jessica), Robert Elsey, Jr., Tanya Mendez (Johan), Tikisha Tate (Ronald) and Chiquita Kellam (Elijah); his siblings, Henry Jackson (Sharon), Richard Jackson, Glorious Jean Roberts and Ludell Jackson; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Conquest (Ruth), Marcus Conquest (Katina), Doretta Conquest, Kathleen Bowen (William), Jeanette Coltrain, Patricia Jones (Rufus) and Doreen Conquest. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
