She is survived by : her husband William Allen Powell (Bill); her children, Brian Huey (Patricia), Janine Gwaltney (William) and Kimberly Purnell (Leonard); her siblings, Darrell Hayes, Janice Collin and Sandra Campbell; her daughter-in-law Beth Powell; and her grandchildren, Sean Huey, Jake Taylor (Louis) and Lily Powell.

Donations can be made in her name to St Alban's Episcopal Church, 302 St Albans Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804.
