He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Smith and Edith Mae Ketterman Smith of Dagsboro; and his brother Barry Marshall Smith. He is survived by: his wife Berta Ward Smith; his sons, Scott Smith (Rae) of Millsboro and Todd Smith (Stacy) of Bethel; his grandsons, Joshua Bailey (Kate), Ryan Smith (Kassie), Christopher Bailey (Patty) and Jack Smith; his great grandchildren, Nathan, Austin Bailey, Blaire Bailey and Caroline Smith; his sisters, Joyce Daisey and Betty West (Fred); and his siblings-in-law, Don Ward (Anne) and Janet Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
