George Allen Adkins Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Allen Adkins of Millsboro, Delaware, who passed away on May 18, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Adkins and Estella Mae Adkins (Collins); his wife Nancy Ellen Bunting of Martin's Neck Church; his brother Stanton Adkins; his in-law Jill Bunting (Horace); and his son-in-law Terry Megee.
He is survived by: his children, Vanessa A. Megee and Stanton Allen Adkins (Marjorie); his grandchildren, Lindsay Megee Vickers (John), Matt Megee (Stacey), Abigail Carroll (Mike) and Ricker Adkins (Mikyla); his great grandchildren, Estella, Andi Mae, Vanessa Jo, Sebastian and Nora; his brother Ralph Adkins (Peggy); and his in-law Denise West (Kenny). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends mail-in donations in George Adkins memory to either the Delaware Agricultural Museum, 866 North Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901, or to the Sons of The American Revolution – Caesar Rodney Chapter, 1 Honeysuckle Court, Georgetown, DE 19947.
