It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Grise of Millsboro, Delaware, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 27, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard T. Grise and Helen Grise (Carey); his wife Mary Frances Grise; his daughter Tami L. Hooper; and his great-nephew Austin Grise.
He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Bacon (Gordon); his grandchildren, Russell Hooper Jr. (Jessica), Ryan Ballard (Chelsea), Rebekah Snyder (Daniel) and Daryn Bacon (Savanna); his great grandchildren, Daniel Snyder III, Avery Hooper, Ryan E. Ballard, Ace Bacon, Paislee Hitch, Ellie Hitch and Kylee Hitch; his sister-in-law Deborah Grise; and his nieces and nephews, Lauren Norwood (Josh), Angela Emerson, Tonia Emerson (Mark), Lisa Wells (William), David Grise (Melissa) and Greg Emerson (Joan). He is also survived by his devoted K9 companion.
