He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Burd and Phyllis "Taft" Burd; and his brother Jeffrey Burd. He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his son Cory Burd; his siblings, Donna Golda (John), Patricia Burd (James Sisk), Linda Burd (Ralph Anema), Cynthia Wildermuth (Steve) and Scott Burd (Deborah); and his grandchildren, Madison and Taylor Hurley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Herbie's memory to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, National WWII Museum, Shriners Hospitals for Children, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
