He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Clifton Stephens Sr. and Edna Mae Stephens; and his siblings, Horace Stephens Jr., Howard Stephens and Shirley Bunting.

He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey and Brian. He is also survived by his stepchildren; 11 nieces and nephews; as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
