It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Stephen Robert Mumford of Millsboro, Delaware, who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Mumford and Louise Leonard Mumford of Millsboro; his in-laws, Dale and Verna Workman; his brother Clifton Mumford; his siblings-in-law, Gene Brewington and Joyce Harrell; and his nephews, James Todd Mumford and John David LaPrad.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Workman Mumford; his daughters, Katrina Mears (Allen) and Nicki Mumford Steen (Andrew); and his grandchildren, Lance, Trey Mears (Samantha), Reif, Kai Steen and Maggie Drew Steen.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hickory Hill Methodist Church where he was a lifelong member.
