Vaughn left this world on October 20, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Elijah Oliphant and Delaphine Oliphant (Mitchell); and his spouse Shirley Oliphant. He is survived by: his sons, Wayne Oliphant (Christine) and Tony Oliphant (Jen); his grandchildren, Megan Albright (Justen), Mindi Cooper (Connor), Madison Oliphant (Evan) and Seth Oliphant (Maddy); his great grandchildren, Jonah, Croix, Banks and Millie; his pets, Ben and Murphy; and his siblings, Norma Short, Ronnie Oliphant, Becky Evans, Sherry Shultie, Doug Oliphant, Denny Oliphant, Lavessa Dennis, Peggy Jalot and Rich Oliphant.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gumboro Fire Hall (37030 Millsboro Hwy, Millsboro, DE 19966).
