We announce the death of Virginia Mae Truitt Godfrey of Millsboro, Delaware, who passed away on July 30, 2026. Virginia’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband Elton Paul Godfrey; her son Michael Paul Godfrey; her sister Harriet Walck (Truitt); and her parents, William Victor Truitt and Carrie May Truitt (Wooten) of Millsboro.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Michael Potter (Jessica) of Millsboro and Brian Cordrey (Crystal) of Millsboro; and her great grandchildren, Evan and Gavin Cordrey of Millsboro. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to either AccentCare Hospice, 416 Williams St #3, Milford, DE 19963; or to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 422, Millsboro, DE 19966.
