He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton I. Long and Armenia Long (Rogers); his wife Joyce Long; and his siblings, Armon Long and Ruth Robbins.
He is survived by: his son David Long (Sheila); his grandchildren, D. J. Long (Kailee) and Jesse Long (Brittany); his great grandchildren, Karsyn Long and Bryson Long; and his sister Joyce Serman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Wayne's name to Sussex Central Baseball Boosters, 26026 Patriots Way, Georgetown, DE 19947.
