He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Cornett Sr. and Mabel Marie Hamilton Cornett; and his siblings, Robert Lee Cornett Jr., Lester Cornett, Betty Clausing, Rosemary Rawlins and Delores Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Bentley Cornett; his children, Carolyn Martini (Stephen), James "Chris" Cornett (Kay) and Stephen Cornett (Susan); his grandchildren, Sean Martini, Jonathan Cornett (Christine), David Cornett, Zachary Cornett, Kayla Grove (Hayden), Megan Michel and Emily Martini; and his great grandchildren, Juli, Joaquin, Jackson, Wesley and Cameron.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriner's Hospital or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Jim's name.
