He was predeceased by: his daughter Christine Pate; his stepdaughter Becky Spencer; his siblings, Bobby Pate and Linda Pate; and his parents, James Pate and Marjorie Pate.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Pate; his children, Danny J. Pate Jr., David Pate and Amy Fibelkorn; his stepchildren, Bobby Spencer, Michael Spencer, Charlene Spencer and Cheyenne Spencer; and his sisters, Shirley Boyce, Vickie Taylor, Barbara Harrington, Lisa Presley and Kristi Repitsky. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
