She was predeceased by: her parents, Evola Sr. and Charles Rivers; and her daughters, Courtney and Erynn Bonds. She is survived by: her nephews, Durwin and Carlise; her husband James Bonds; her children, Jarnell Swecker (Kevin), Durwin Bonds and Carlise Bonds (Sarah); and her grandsons, Caden, Caleb and Kaiyon. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and goddaughters.
Her service also included the COVID Response Team, Cancer Ministry, Pastor's Aid Committee, Deacons Council, Benevolent Ministry, and mentoring young women.
Evola enjoyed a successful professional career as a technical trainer with Xerox, later working in fraud protection at Bank of America, followed by service with The Learn to Read Foundation.
