She was predeceased by: her parents, Harland James and Sarah Jane Armes (Meadows); her husband Joseph E. "Rocky" Hayes, Sr.; her daughter Joanna Simpers; and her granddaughter Angel Simpers.
She is survived by: her children, Janie Dunfee (Wayne) of Bear, Joseph Hayes, Jr. (Jeanette) of New Castle and James Hayes (Janice) of New Castle; her sisters, Lola Debbrecht of New Castle, Elsie and Frieda; and her grandchildren, Jason, Derrick, Jessica, Lauren, Andrew, Joey, Patrick, Nicole and Ashleen. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
