It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Petchel of New Castle, Delaware, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 3, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John McGrath and Helen McGrath (Kirn); her husband Lawrence "Larry" D. Petchel; her son Ronald Petchel; her grandson Mark Petchel; and her brother Jack McGrath.
She is survived by: her children, Lawrence M. Petchel (Pat) of Lewes, DE, Michael Petchel of Honey Brook, PA, Theresa L. Chopack (Stephen) of New Castle and James D. Petchel of Ocean View; her grandchildren, Justin, Courtney, Michael, Matthew and Lindsey; and her great grandchild Summer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
