He was predeceased by: his parents, Merrill Palmer and Eleanor Palmer; his wife Nancy; his sister Nancy Ball; and also Robin Ball.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Birdie; his children, Debra Raymond (Tom), Della Shepherd, Leslie Palmer, Jr. (LaNita) and Arnold Palmer (Coleen); his grandchildren, Daniel Mace, Kenneth Mace, Sarah Shepherd (William), Blake Shepherd, Andrew Palmer, Kevin Palmer, Daniel Palmer (Madeline), Olivia Palmer (Saifeldine), Jaiden Palmer Alanna Palmer (Autumn) and Matthew Palmer; and his great grandchildren, Madeline, Isabella, Chase and Leila.
