He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie D. Ferguson and Bobbie Ferguson; his daughter Latanya Badson (Toni); and his siblings, William T Ferguson (W. T.), Bobby Ferguson, Jean Goldsberry, Betty Johnson and Juanita Weathers (Nita).

He is survived by: his nephew Tyrrell; his son Nathaniel Ferguson, Jr.; his grandson Nuri Holloway; his sisters, Ethel Black and Patricia Ferguson; and his friend Ronny Coleman. He is also survived by his nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins.
