It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rebecca Lynn Hallett of New Castle, Delaware, born in Frederick, Maryland, who passed away on March 29, 2026, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Suzanne K. "GiGi" Preston, Willis O. Preston, James J. Maloney and Edith C. Maloney; and her aunt Phyllis Preston Palabrica.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald Gene Hallett; her children, Carrie, Madison and Ryan; her father Douglas Maloney Sr. (Pam); her brothers, Douglas Jr. (Donna), Dan (Sarah) and David (Amy); her in-law Peter Hallett Sr. (Elizabeth); and her brother-in-law Peter Jr. (Jodi). She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
When Rebecca was not working, she was very active with the Special Olympics Delaware MOT Tigers and the Delaware Foundation Reaching Citizens Blue Gold All Star Football.
