It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sara Stearrett of New Castle, Delaware, who passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Duncan Cameron and Sarah Cameron (Griffith); her husband Paul; her daughter Anita Morgan (William); and her siblings, Bud, Alice, Alwilda, Hettie and Irene.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark (Gale) and Glenn (Kathy); her grandchildren, Heather (Rudy), Dawn (Tommy), Matthew (Kristina), Brian (Samantha), Christopher (Kacey), Kevin (Crystal), Joseph (Kaitlyn), David (Morgan) and Ashley (Adam); and her sisters-in-law, Patricia, Kathryn and Dolores. She is also survived by her 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and members of her extended family.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Doherty Funeral Home - Pike Creek (3200 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Doherty Funeral Home (3200 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery (2465 Chesapeake City Rd, Bear, DE 19701).
