With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alice J. Saxton of Newark, Delaware, born in Harrington, Delaware, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 19, 2025. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Norman Marshall and Beulah Marshall (Parvis); her husband William J. Saxton; her grandson Michael Snitch; her siblings-in-law, Thomas Saxton (Pat) of Wilmington and Joanne Saxton of Wilmington; her children, Jeannette Smith (William) of Bear, Janice Matarese (Paul) of Middletown, Ann Snitch (Len) of Madison Alabama and Joseph Saxton (Marie) of Felton; her grandchildren, Christopher Smith (Joanne) of Orlando, Kim Gonzon (Anthony) of Middletown, Lisa Braun (Eric) of Landenberg, Michelle Hall (Larry) of Townsend, Deborah Mikus (John) of Newark, Stephanie Saxton (Chris) of Bear and Anthony Saxton (Alicia) of Smyrna; and her great grandchildren, Matthew, Justin, Ryan of Kayla, TJ, Hailey, Jason, Nathan, Rhyan, Liliana, Madeleine, Asher and Ava.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beeson Funeral Home of Newark (2053 Pulaski Hwy, Newark, DE 19702). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 1:09 PM at the St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery (112 Jefferson St, Delaware City, DE 19706).
