She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren W. Barton and Velma F. Barton (Butterbaugh); her husband James Paul Tassell; her son James Taylor Tassell; and her grandson Andrew John Benson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ivy Benson (Bruce) and Holly Jackson; her granddaughters, Ashley Tyczkowski (Ed) and Erica Carey (Patrick); and her great grandchildren, Andrew (Kaitlyn), Amber, Elena, Madison, Alexandra and Vivienne Benson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alma's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
