With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Louise Hebner of Newark, Delaware, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 13, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her children, Grant Peebles and Dr. Hilary Petit; and her sister Linda Fletcher. She is survived by: her children, Laura Peebles (Ellen Fingerman), Megan Martin (Gareth Smith), Laird Cummings (Jennifer Cummings), Heather Petit (Will Hurd), Margaret Badger and Michael Petit (Kristan Petit); her cousins, Lois and Carol; her nieces and nephews, Deb Fletcher (Julie Fletcher), Cathy Cummings, Harold Fletcher and Jim Cummings (Susan Meeker); and her grandchildren, Anna Cava Grosso, Lily Grosso, Daniel Badger, Quinton Randolph-Banks, Li Cummings, Gabriel Hurd, Brendan Hurd, Devin Petit, Ian Cummings, Meriel Hurd and Rowan Hurd.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made in her name to an environmental program of your choice, especially anything to do with plastics cleanup.
