It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty (Heverin) Thorp (Newark, Delaware), who passed away on October 19, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Heverin and Helen Sutton (Campbell); her husband F. Ray Thorp Sr.; her brother William Heverin; her sister-in-law Catherine Heverin; her sister Helen Simpers; her nephews, Billy Joe Heverin and Andrew Heverin; and her granddaughter Ashley Seward.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Seward (Tim, Sr.) and F. Ray Thorp Jr. (Melanie); her grandchildren, Amanda Himes (Richard), Tim Seward Jr., R. Dylan Pennypacker and Kassidy Thorp (Austin Mieczkowski); and her pet Diesel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
