It is with sadness that the passing of Charles W. Baxter of Newark, Delaware is shared. Charles, born on March 31, 1944, passed away on October 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Charles will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Charles by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Charles is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Charles’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Baxter and Elizabeth O. Baxter (Noble); his wife Diane M. Baxter (Petroski); and his grandson Nicholas Charles Schewe. He is survived by: his daughter Dana Schewe (Daniel) of North East, MD; his grandchildren, Emma and Zach Schewe (Kalyn); and his great grandchildren, Nathan and Raegan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home (121 W Park Pl, Newark, DE 19711). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
