Clara K. Raffensperger Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Clara K. Raffensperger of Newark, Delaware, born in Boxford, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 27, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Clara farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Clara is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dana F. Killam and Rachel Foster Killam; and her siblings, Franklin W. Killam, Nancy Killam Begin and Margaret Killam Frost.
She is survived by: her son Gregg Raffensperger; her daughter-in-law Kelly Raffensperger; and her grandchildren, Katie Burlingame (Jason), Scott Raffensperger (Kristen) and John Raffensperger (Ali). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Because of her affection for her dogs, as an expression of sympathy and condolences, donations can be made in Clara Raffensperger's memory to Brandywine Valley SPCA.
