He is survived by: his wife Betty Asbell (Willis); his children, Michael Asbell (Beth) and Lisa Connor (Larry); his granddaughter Hannah Tait (Andrew); his son Joshua Asbell (Heather); his great grandchild Luke Asbell; and his brother Richard Asbell.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in memory of Dwight to the Food Bank of Delaware, 222 Lake Drive, Newark, Delaware 19702.
