He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Chaban and Ida Chaban (Justus); his sister Rosemarie; his brother-in-law Walter Mattis; his brother Alfred; and his sister-in-law Jane Chaban.
He is survived by: his wife Ingeborg "Inge" Chaban (Sinisov); his daughter Ester Casagrande (Ed); his grandsons, Giovanni and Cristiano Casagrande; his son Edward Chaban (Laura); and his grandsons, Paul, Peter and Philip "PJ" Chaban.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Philip's Lutheran Church (5320 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ed may be made to St. Philip's Lutheran Church.
