He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack McGackin and Irene McGackin; his former wife Colleen; his sisters-in-law, Eileen (Ricky) and Jean (Billy); and his brothers, Jack, Billy and Denny.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his daughters, Nicole McCarter (Mike) and Megan Lane (Sam); his stepsons, Joseph Ayers (Sally), Christian Ayers (Jessica) and Timothy Ayers (Rachael); his grandchildren, Madelyn, Jackson, Paige, Chase, Cole, Samuel, Hannah, Abigail, Gia, Ryan, Henry, Emmett and Ingrid; his siblings, Gail Preston (Lester) and Ricky; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy, Jane and Carl Peterson (Elizabeth). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
