He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rokuro Nagase and Sumie Nagase; his wife Takako Maeda; his children, Terumi and George Nagase; his son-in-law Chris McKenna; his granddaughter Naomi McKenna; and his brother Mitsumasa Nagase.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Goro Nagase Endowed Scholarship for Mathematics and Computer Science at Lincoln University.
