He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Jester and Madaline Jester; his wife Shirley A. Jester; and his stepchildren, David Bender, Richard Bender and Leslie A. Atkins (Tom Atkins).
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Cheryl Wheeler (Jim Brown) and Kelly Bender. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests you do a random act of kindness or send a contribution to the Brandywine Hundred Fire Company (1006 Brandywine Blvd., Wilmington, DE 19809) who provided services when needed, or donate to a charity of your choice.
