He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Gebhart, (Clark) and John Gebhart, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Margaret A. Gebhart; his children, Kimberly A. Gravatt, Jerome A. Gebhart, Jr. and John A. Gebhart; and his granddaughters, Alicia N. Gravatt and Melissa A. Gravatt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery (2516 Chesapeake City Rd, Newark, DE 19701). Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Mealey Funeral Home - Limestone (2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to The Purple Heart Foundation.
