He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Kripplebauer, Sr. and Verna Kripplebauer (Ryan); his wife Judith Kripplebauer (Neese); his son Joseph J. Kripplebauer, III; and his sister Ruth Ann Lubinski.

He is survived by: his children, Candice Galbraith of Annville and Shawn Kripplebauer (Keesha) of Coal Township; his grandson Joel Galbraith; and his sisters, Patricia Thompson (Kenneth) of Newark, Ellen Sage of Ranshaw and Mary Cothlan (James) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
