It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise Thomas Mackie in Newark, Delaware, born in Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Isabel Thomas, and Francis Thomas, Sr.; her husband James Mackie, Sr.; her daughter Amy Lynne Mackie; and her sister Barbara.

She is survived by : her son James Mackie, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Deborah; and her brothers, Francis Thomas, Jr. and Robert Thomas. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the R. T. Foard & Jones, Inc. (122 W Main St, Newark, DE 19711). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at the Sharp's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Louise's honor to The Alzheimer's Association, c/o the Funeral Home.
