We announce the death of Matthew J. Giordano of Newark, Delaware, who passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Giordano and Mary Giordano (Chlepciak); his wife Josette M. Giordano (Prange); his daughter Linnea Giordano; his siblings, Vincent Giordano, Jr., Barbara Hill and Geraldine Riley; and his great grandchildren, Tyler Spahn and Rylee Spahn.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janette Giordano and Yvonne Russell (Clifton); his grandchildren, Joshua Spahn (Bonnie), Kristen Russell (Dwayne), Ronnie Feher, Chelsea Feher, Jack Sparks and Kevin Sparks; and his sister Mary Ann Setting (Jim). He is also survived by nine great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Doherty Funeral Homes - Pike Creek (3200 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
