He was predeceased by : his father George Parker Riegel; his son Benjamin Parker Riegel; and his brother Craig Brian Riegel. He is survived by : his mother Helen Carolyn Riegel (Newbeck); his wife Laurie Riegel; his brother Glenn Riegel (Rebecca); his siblings-in-law, Don Yeager (Eileen) and Susan Little (Tom); and his granddaughter Kamryn Freyman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made for the special works of the local Cecil County EMT or Chesapeake City Fire Department.
