He was predeceased by: his parents, Madeline Melnick and Michael Melnick; his wife Carol D. Smith; and his daughter-in-law Darci Rice. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Carol; his children, Randy, Randall G. Smith Jr., Shelly Bordley (George) and Dawn R. Smith; and his grandchildren, Kyle Kellner, Emily Bordley, Natalie Bordley and Kelly Bordley. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
