He was predeceased by: his parents, Hallie Mae (Ramsey) and Sylvester Vied, Jr.; and his grandson Joshua David Vied-Lucas. He is survived by: his wife Maude B. Vied (Krieger); his children, Rhonda Lucas (Jack), Kimberly Rivera and Matthew Vied of Newark; his grandchildren, Tamara, Jackie and Zachary; his great grandchild Justin; and his siblings, Linda Williams, Robert Vied, David Vied, Pamela Olivero and Michael Vied.
